Brandenburg Gate

"After the 1806 Prussian defeat at the Battle of Jena-Auerstedt, Napoleon was the first to use the Brandenburg Gate for a triumphal procession and took its Quadriga (the statue above the gate) to Paris."

To make a sarcastic remark, they name the square in front of the gate Pariser Platz after the return of the Goddess Quadriga.

There are two walls, not one separating the two cities in the past. One of them is behind Rose.

While chatting with the Aussie guide Paul, he also told me that yes people dig, there are a few tunnels connecting the two cities.
